The SmartStart reduces the compressor’s startup power demand by as much as 75%, helping minimize voltage drops, flickering lights, nuisance breaker trips, and compressor startup noise. It may allow a compatible air conditioner to operate from a generator or solar inverter as small as 2,000 watts.
