Looking to escape the cold? The road is calling this winter. Whether you’re looking to stay near a beach or explore scenic desert landscapes, these winter RV parks offer recreation, amenities, and serious relaxation. Here’s where snowbirds will want to head this winter.

CALIFORNIA:

South Carlsbad State Beach

A calming oceanside oasis awaits you at South Carlsbad State Beach. Overlooking the beautiful Pacific, the park has solid offerings like a market, cafe, showers, and, of course, prime access to the beach down below. Because of its scenic location, the beach is reservation-only, so be sure to make arrangements before heading there.

Campland on the Bay

Want to camp directly on the water? Campland on the Bay is a dream location for those wanting beach access, ample amenities, and plenty of entertainment during their stay. Park offerings include laundry facilities, an ice cream shop, restaurant, live music, an arcade, and a swimming pool. Plus, pooches are more than welcome at Campland, so feel free to include your four legged friends on the trip.

ARIZONA:

Mesa Regal

This resort-style park is designed for RV-ers who are looking for serious fun in a luxurious environment. The list of amenities at Mesa Regal is endless; from pools and spas to poker nights, afternoon happy hours, and on-site massages. There are also dozens of social clubs and groups for whatever piques your interest, a co-ed beauty salon, and even non-denominational worship services available. FLORIDA:

Cypress Trail RV Resort

​​With an average January high temperature hovering around 72 degrees, the Fort Myers area is an ultra desirable winter destination for RV-ers. At Cypress Trail, you’ll find large 35’ x 90’ lot spaces with enhanced hookups and hardwired internet, plus a 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art clubhouse. Camping on the Gulf

Located on the Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach, Camping on the Gulf offers visitors a chance to wake up quite literally on the beach. For even more fun, the on site events pavilion regularly hosts karaoke, potlucks, and movie nights.

Dellanera RV Park

How about a winter RV park at the beach? This Galveston oceanfront park offers picture perfect beach front camping with 65 full hookup sites, clean bathrooms, and laundry facilities. Each spot has a picnic table and barbecue pit that are perfect for entertaining. Free wireless internet is available, making working from the road easier than ever for RV-ers.

NEW MEXICO:

Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort

Conveniently located just 2 hours north of El Paso, Texas, this resort boasts 140 full hookup sites on the largest lake in New Mexico. An onsite swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room, and gaming courts are available to guests, along with laundry, a dumping station, and dog runs. Area activities include Geronimo Springs Museum, hot mineral baths, and, of course, water sports on the lake.

Route 66 RV Park

This Albuquerque-area park is, as the name suggests, located right on historic Route 66. Here you’ll find 100 full service sites with picnic tables and fire rings, laundry facilities, showers, and an exercise room. RV-ers looking for entertainment will find no shortage here: the Route 66 Casino Hotel is next door, and the park itself is hopping with activities; from pickleball courts to a resort-style pool with cabana. For a winter RV park, this one is tough to beat.
