Improve towing stability and control with the CURT 17500 TruTrack 4P Weight Distribution Hitch. Designed for trailers weighing 8,000 to 10,000 lbs. GTW with 800 to 1,000 lbs. of tongue weight, the TruTrack combines weight distribution and active sway control into a single integrated towing system.

Unlike traditional weight distribution hitches that use spring-bar chains, the TruTrack uses heavy-duty adjustable support brackets that hold the spring bars both vertically and laterally. These fixed connection points provide two points of sway resistance at the trailer frame, while CURT’s spring-and-cam system inside the hitch head provides two additional points of active sway control. Together, the four points of sway control help keep the trailer aligned behind the tow vehicle.

The system uses trunnion-style forged steel spring bars to leverage trailer tongue weight and distribute it across the axles of the tow vehicle and trailer. This helps level the towing combination while improving handling and stability.

The TruTrack also makes setup and adjustment easier. Its hitch head uses preset tilt positions and accessible adjustment hardware, while the included 2-inch shank can be flipped to provide the necessary rise or drop for different trailer configurations.

Unlike the lighter-duty CURT 17499, the 17500 includes a pre-torqued 2-5/16″ trailer ball, making it a more complete ready-to-install system. The package also includes the shank, spring bars, hitch head, support brackets, hitch pin and clip.
