When outdoor adventures await right off that drop-down step, who wants to waste time with rattling, tangling, and bending RV shades? Legacy Roller shades are just the upgrade to perfect any RV adventure.
Legacy Shades are quality day and night RV roller shades. Most owners choose the two shade option: a screen shade for during the day and blackout shades for the night time. Some, however, choose just one or the other.
Decorating and equipping is a big part of the fun of the RV lifestyle. Our customers like to optimize every wall, window, and corner in their rig. This verified Legacy roller shade buyer reports:
Ordered six new Legacy Roller Shades, received them in just two days and installed them myself. Voila! Better! The new shades even block out not only the light but some of the outside noise also. They make the motorhome quieter on the inside when all are down. We are very happy with another purchase from ShadePro. – Robert R, Temecula, CA
Like Robert, our RVers find that replacing dusty old pleated or aluminum shades boosts the enjoyment of their rigs. Here’s why.
Legacy Roller Shade Sleek Design and Operation
First, the Legacy roller shade’s sophisticated spring roller technology beats tangle-prone strings every time. Legacy shades pull down to any preferred position and easily adjust or retract by hand.
Engineered for frequent use, each spring roller mechanism comes with a three-year warranty. The Legacy shade fabric-wrapped bottom grip bar makes for smooth operation and mutes rattling during travel. All fabrics come with a five-year warranty. Pull your lovely Legacy shades to your preferred position and hurtle over highways in quiet.
Legacy roller shades’ improved construction beats the pleated and aluminum design flaws that have aggravated travelers for so long. First, the strings that operate pleated and aluminum shades tangle and break regularly, rendering the shades inoperable. Customers have shown us blinds secured with twist ties, tie-downs, and even bungies. Ugly short-term measures cause stress, and who wants stress on vacation?
Then, we often hear of traveling pets batting at the strings and eventually tangling them or getting entangled in them. If you have pictures of a pet vs. shade string battle, we’d love to see those! These battles most often involve cats more than dogs, but our canine friends have been known to throw down against a shade, too.
Further, when one side of these string-operated shades fails, the blind pulls up askew. Legacy roller shades rise and descend evenly every time. The gorgeous rivers and mountain ranges you’ve escaped to just don’t have the same impact when viewed through a tilted shade. Finally, strings can pose a safety hazard for children.
#1 Relax in Privacy with Legacy Day/Night Roller Shades
The potential to meet and socialize with other RV park goers provides some of the trip exciting. Still, with rigs packed closely together, RVers like to balance socialization with peaceful alone time. Legacy roller shades ensure campers can remain unseen behind their daytime and nighttime shades.
Deep, restful sleep is the reward for camping’s exertions. When the bright headlights of a late-arriving camper pour through pleated or aluminum shades at 2:00 a.m., however, sleep gets interrupted. As much as they try to be respectful, new neighbors need light to set up.
The solid blackout fabric of the night-time shade keeps your rig dark. RVers select from khaki, sand, grey, and black to match their aesthetic and rig. The shade absorbs the light, no matter the color.
The daytime shade, too, ensures adequate privacy. The daytime shade or “screen” allows RV occupants to see out while blocking anyone outside from seeing in. The standard daytime shade is black, a color that works with our eyes to provide the most transparency. Still, these daytime shades can be powder coated to better match your rig’s interior if need be.
Permeable, the day shades also allow for adequate airflow when you leave windows open. Another day shade benefit is that even a brightly lit interior will not create shadows that depict occupant movements to people outside the coach. Maintain complete privacy during the day while enjoying the surrounding scenery at all times.
Customers who chose the single roller can get either the daytime sunscreen or the night-time blackout shade. Those opting for the combo roller get both.
Both single roller Legacy shades and combo rollers are available in sizes 17” to 80” wide and up to 60” tall. Most ShadePro customers prefer the combo rollers as these maximize privacy as well as trip flexibility and enjoyment. Standard models extend to 33 inches vertically, and XL models drop down 60 inches. All require 2.5 inches depth in the valance box.
#2 Stay Cool When Shades Better Control Interior Climate
Coming off the lake, beach, or mountain to a stuffy and bright rig has a way of wilting the veggies and souring the day in general. Legacy roller shades make sure your rig stays dark and cool whether you’re in it or not.
First, because they are permeable, the mesh day shades also allow for adequate airflow when you leave windows open. They even provide 95% solar sunscreen, protecting not only occupants but interior furnishings. UV radiation from the sun not only heats up the rig, but it also bleaches cushions of their color. When staying inside the rig, daytime roller shades ensure occupants remain more comfortable longer without having to use the air conditioning.
Best of all, daytime shades keep you cool while providing a view of the natural surroundings outside. Views of trees, water, sun, sky . . . ahhhh . . . just why you escaped the office.
Often when venturing out for the day, many RVers choose to pull down their blackout shades to keep the interior of the coach dark and cool, again reducing the need to use the air conditioning. These light and heat-absorbing shades keep the hot air outside.
#3 Easier Cleaning
Part of the fun of traveling is heading out in a squeaky clean rig. The varying planes on pleated and aluminum shades attract dust and make cleaning difficult. Worse, cleaning them can cause warping.
Legacy roller shades, on the other hand, are constructed from single planes of fabric or vinyl that are easy to clean with the brush attachment of your vacuum. Just sweep across the flat fabric lightly while holding your hand behind each area. Clean vinyl shades easily with spray products and soft cloths. Gentle cleaning allows the shades to keep their original shape longer.
#4 Solar Sunscreen Protects Cabin Interior
Legacy daytime roller shades provide 95% solar sunscreen, protecting not only occupants but interior furnishings. UV radiation from the sun heats up the rig, and can also bleach cushions of color. When staying inside the rig, daytime roller shades enable occupants to remain more comfortable longer without having to use the air conditioning.
Often when venturing out for the day, RVers pull down their blackout shades to keep the interior of the coach dark and cool, again reducing the need to use the air conditioning.
